Danny played baseball as a boy, and then through college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  Before becoming a famous impressionist, it was his dream to be a professional baseball player. After playing at a junior college in Southern California with fellow player, room mate and friend, Ozzie Smith, Danny was drafted by the Kansas City Royals, and later played for the Dodgers farm club .

Unfortunately, Danny suffered a serious injury which ended his baseball career, but soon thereafter, he embarked on his true calling, “Danny Gans, The Man of Many Voices”.  During his early career, he won an acting role in the now famous movie, Bull Durham, opposite Kevin Costner and Tim Robbins.
