The Story
Born on October 25th 1956 in Torrance, CA, Danny Gans’ story is one of triumph over tragedy and beating the odds in Las Vegas. Before headlining on the Las vegas strip, Danny’s dream was to be a major league baseball player - a dream he worked at tirelessly with his father. Danny’s relationship with his father was loving but when it came to baseball, it was a business. Drafted by the Kansas City Royals out of high school, Danny elected to play in college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he met his wife, Julie. For a short time, the minor leagues was his playground as he was drafted again, this time by the Chicago White Sox. He’d considered himself just a fun guy to have on the bus but little did he know a career-ending injury would bring his life-long dream of baseball to an end. He dedicated his life and his career path to entertainment, honing impressions at corporate events all over the world quickly becoming the number one corporate act in America. In 1995, he was invited to perform his one-man show in New York, "Danny Gans on Broadway: The Man of Many Voices,”. After a short run on Broadway at the Neil Simon theater and being offered a year-long extension, he opted instead to head to Vegas. With Vegas in his sights, he nabbed the headlining spot at the opening of the Stratosphere. He jumped from the Rio to the Mirage, where he spent eight years in a showroom built specifically for him, and then to Encore, Las Vegas Boulevard's newest luxury behemoth. Though The Strip morphed repeatedly, Danny Gans stood atop the Vegas entertainment scene from the moment he arrived.
